Parenting Coordination is a court ordered service provided by a trained Parenting Coordinator. Participants will have an Order for Parenting Cooridination from the Court. The Parenting Coordinator (PC) helps parents manage their parenting plan following a divorce and work through unforeseen circumstance that might arise while trying to share their child(ren). In the event that parents struggle to see 'eye-to-eye' on what is best for their child(ren) or how to handle exceptions to the court order, the PC will work with them to resolve such disputes. Any day to day disputes that can not be resolved may result in a decision by the PC to avoid the lengthy and costly process of going to court. Decisions made by a PC can be filed with the court and become part of the court record and file. PC's do not make decisions on custody, substantial/permanent changes to the Parenting Plan, child support, or residential status of the child(ren). Parenting Coordination is a distinct service with distinct training and rules of conduct. Rules and guidelines for Parenting Coordination are outlined by court orders, local court rules, state rules from the Ohio Supreme Court, and guidelines by the Association of Family Conciliation Courts.
Anna Tyrrell has been providing parenting coordination services since 2005.
