There are many reasons children struggle to succeed in school. Often it is not about what they don't know or understand, but how their brain is processing information. Strong, coordinated neural networks are developed early for laying the groundwork for success in school. However, there are many reasons this may not happen smoothly for children. Utilizing brain-based exercises and strategies help children strengthen the neural connections to improve success as they improve how they execute what they know by increasing fluency and accuracy of their work. We assess the child's strengths and growth areas to target interventions to help your child succeed.
We assist children and adults to improve their ability to maintain focus and attention. Whether they struggle due to distractions, a hyper or hypo active mind, or a hyper or hypo active body. Strategies may include behavioral modification, time management, skills training, exercises, or mental health treatment. We help folks manage a whole-body approach to managing attention challenges.
We use a number of brain based exercises to help you improve focus, attention, strengthen neural connections and cognitive processing, as well as executing what you know. Brain based exercises are activities that multi-task the brain with coordinated rhythmic movements integrating balance for overall improved cognitive function.
Neuronet is a specific intensive program that includes an a pre and post evaluation and a guided program. While it is considered an intensive program, the exercises are not intense. Participants will be expected to do 10-15 minutes of directed exercises 5 out of 7 days a week. In addition, parents are expected to be actively engaged in supporting their children throughout the program. This program is designed for young children through elementary school. However, many older children and adults have found a benefit to using this program.
